Duck Tape Change Jar

I saw another blogger crafting with some zebra print duck tape a couple of days.  It was so cute so I had to do something with it too!

I started with an empty clean jar and my zebra tape.  I ran the tape along the bottom of the jar and covered the lid with it.

I then dug out some pink zebra card stock I had and booted up the Cricut machine!  I made my own stickers with it.

I used the Opposites Attract Font Cartridge at the 2 in setting.

Here is my finished product!

Baseball Shelf!

My favorite part of spring....BASEBALL!  I love that my boys play and I love displaying what they do!  I have a section for each sport in my house where I show off their trophies, pictures and favorite teams!

I bought a white cubbie-hole type shelf to put in my entryway.  It sits under neath some Royals/2012 All Star hangings we got last summer and displays my boys' autographed baseball, their own all-star stuff, and displays my favorite picture of the three of them.

I bought a couple of red drawers to house their hats and mittens for winter wear as well as their extra school supplies for homework assignments.  The other four holes currently house their "good" shoes....that is changing and whole other blog post!

I have been feeling like the shelf is too plain and was in need of some dressing up!

I dug out my red paint and a thin paint brush....and decided to change that.

Since this shelf sits with my baseball display decor...I decided to turn my shelf into one big baseball :))

What do you think?

My First Button!!

Oh my!!  I am moving on up in the Blog World!  I have my very own "Grab It Button"!!!  I can't even explain to you how excited I am to finally have figured this all out!

The hardest part of this entire task was figuring out how to edit a .png file!  Come to find out...all I had to do was change the settings in my photo editor to include the file name!!  Who knew!?

I want to send a HUGE shout out to Code It Pretty who provided me with the original code...I would have NEVER figure that out on my own!

She posts some of the most amazing stuff and her website/blog is my "go-to" place for all things BLOG!

Here's my button and the code is on the right hand side of my blog!  What do ya think??

Easter Break Slushies!

The kids are out of school today for Easter Break at school.  Earlier last week, I replaced the blender that was missing a very vital piece (the lid!) and decided to put it to work today!

We made "Mio" slushies!

Here is how we made them!
4 Cups of Ice
2 Cups of Sprite (we used our homemade stuff)
2 Second squeeze on the Mio

I put it all into the blender and went to town!  I am already in love with this idea and it is something that we will be doing ALOT!  It's cheap, easy to make and has very few calories in it! (They all come from the sprite!)
